Máté Kiss primarily deals with tax and customs issues, including tax administration and tax litigation. He is also a core member of the Dispute Resolution group where he is involved in a number of cases, including a landmark case relating to competition law damages based on a decision of the European Commission, which covers more than twenty-five proceedings.
Máté is also a member of the Employment Law practice group where he deals with labour law and employee residency issues on a daily basis. He is actively involved in the work of the Corporate and Contract & Commercial Law teams and assists other teams, such as the Real Estate, Construction, Banking & Finance and Competition Law practice groups. Máté is an expert in the legal areas connected to the mining and battery industries, having represented several clients in these areas.
In 2023 Máté completed the Tax Advisor training of the Hungarian Chamber of Accountants and is now using the theoretical and practical knowledge gained when solving tax issues for his clients. He regularly supports other members of the firm when tax issues arise during transactions.
During his studies at Eötvös Loránd University he worked as a legal intern at KNP Law where he dealt with tasks related to litigation and contract law.
