András Szecskay is the founder and managing partner of Szecskay Attorneys at Law. He has developed an extensive international and domestic litigation and arbitration practice, which includes involvement in ICSID, ICC, UNCITRAL procedures. He has significant experience in high-value and complex commercial, corporate, IP and foreign investment matters in Hungary. His practice covers a broad range of legal, industrial and service sectors, including pharmaceuticals, banking and energy, environmental, oil and gas, and telecommunications. In addition to business law, András also has extensive experience in civil law.
Besides being a leading arbitrator in Hungary, he is also on the list of arbitrators of the Vienna International Arbitration Centre. He has handled over 150 arbitration cases. He is also a recognised expert in the field of intellectual property.
András is in his fourth term as Vice President for International Relations of the Hungarian Bar Association, Head of the Hungarian CCBE Delegation, President of MIE (Hungarian Industrial Property and Copyright Association) and recipient of numerous chamber and state awards.
In addition to his wide professional recognition, András is well-known for his admiration and support of music, literature and the contemporary arts.
