Miklós Boronkay, head of Szecskay’s Dispute Resolution team, has published his new book, Kontraktuális kártérítési jog (Contractual Damages Law), a comprehensive practical guide to Hungarian contractual damages law.
Published by ORAC in 2026, the book examines the rules of the Hungarian Civil Code alongside relevant case law and legal literature. It covers key issues including contractual and non-contractual liability, damages for breach of contract, defective performance, and the specific rules applicable to different types of contracts.
Drawing on his experience as a litigator and arbitrator, as well as many years of teaching and academic work, Miklós Boronkay wrote the book primarily with practising lawyers in mind.
