The Supervisory Authority for Regulated Activities (SARA), responsible for receiving and collecting the ESG reports from enterprises which are covered under the ESG Act (Act CVIII of 2023), has published a questionnaire in its regulation no. 13/2024 (VIII.15) on 15 August, 2024 to ease the reporting exercise.
The catalogue of questions is divided into 45 environmental, 41 social and 14 governance questions. In addition, the description of mandatory content enables companies to collect and measure the relevant information for their ESG reports.
As Judit Budai previously addressed in the Budapest Business Journal the ESG Act requires a respondent enterprise or other organization to submit a formal advance request for data provision to SARA if the entity intends to provide additional data beyond what is required in the ESG questionnaire annexes.
