Szecskay Attorneys at Law is pleased to announce that Dr. Gusztáv Bacher, partner and head of the firm’s IP practice, has been elected President of the Hungarian Group of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).
AIPPI is one of the most significant international professional organizations in the field of intellectual property rights. Founded more than 100 years ago, it brings together IP professionals from over 100 countries and plays a significant role in the international development of trademark, patent, design and copyright law.
Gusztáv Bacher previously served as Secretary General of the AIPPI Hungarian Group. His appointment reflects many years of active professional involvement and commitment to the development of the IP community both in Hungary and internationally.
“It is a great honour to have been elected President of the Hungarian Group of AIPPI. I find this mandate particularly inspiring following the centenary celebrations of the international AIPPI organization. I would also like to thank my predecessor, Marcell Kereszty, for his dedicated leadership and the strong foundations he has built for the future work of the Hungarian Group,” said Gusztáv Bacher.
In his new role, Gusztáv Bacher intends to further strengthen the professional activities of the AIPPI Hungarian Group, encourage the involvement of young professionals, and further develop international professional relationships.
